Beaver Scout Challenge

Beaver Scout Challenge

As you will be aware the Olympics 2020 will take place in Japan.

As Beaver Scouts we hope to mark the event with a Northumberland Beaver Scout Challenge, that will be both simple and straight forward, throughout the summer term.

There will be a selection of activities linked to the challenge badges, with exception to the personal challenge, which will be achieved by each Beaver Scout participating in the challenge.

Colonies will be asked to complete 10 fun challenges from a selection of 15, with one compulsory being a sleepover during the summer term. All of these can be carried out either in your Colony, Group or District.

Just register your Colony's interest at Northumberland Scout Administration, together with the number of Beavers Scouts and leaders as, the BIG bonus will be that each Beaver Scout who completes the challenge, will receive a free participation badge! Leaders may request a badge too - max four per Group.

Once you have registered your interest, a copy of the challenges will be sent out to you.

On Monday 16th March 2020, the Prime Minister stated that everyone in the UK should avoid non-essential travel and contact with others.

In response, Headquarters has made the decision that all face-to-face Scout meetings, activities and events must be suspended from Tuesday 17th March 2020. This suspension applies to young people and adults, and will be until further notice.

As a result, the Beaver Scout Challenge is currently being reviewed & reworked. Watch this space for further details!
