In February half term, a group of five Scouts and Explorer Scouts from Northumberland Scouts and members of our County Youth Team were invited to join a Democracy Cafe organised by My Life My Say!
The focus groups for 10 – 19 year olds are being held across the country to gather young people’s views and help shape the development of the National Youth Strategy.
The group discussed all things young people, education, communities and inequalities.
We’re proud to offer young people the opportunity to speak up, dream big and help shape the world around them. In April a contingent of Scouts, Explorer Scouts and members of our Youth Leads Team will be attending the UK Youth Forum in Edinburgh to have their say on the future of Scouting! We’re looking forward to hearing more about it on their return.
