Sign up for this event opens on Wednesday 8th January at 6.00pm. Thanks to those of you who have got in touch with queries and let me know you have Scouts interested. I thought it was worth clarifying a couple of points.
The sign up is to be done by the leader who will be in charge of your Group’s Scouts – and is one registration per Group.
Here is the link – it won’t accept responses until 6.00pm on Wednesday – so please don’t try before then. It’s a simple form to get numbers of Scouts and Leaders and a couple of other details.

I am anticipating demand to be high – and it may exceed the 100 spaces we have. We’ll operate first come first served so please explain this to your Scouts. If we are over-subscribed I will ask for more places – but it’s a bit of a chicken and egg situation – the Centre can’t look at more staffing until we know if there is the demand. I will confirm your Group’s places as soon as I can – but I won’t close the form as soon as we hit 100 so I know exactly what interest is out there.
Once places are confirmed I’ll be in touch with details of Risk Assessments, NAN, dietary, medical etc. Fundamentally, the weekend will be organised for you but you will retain responsibility for your Scouts – much the same as Camp Northumbria and other such events. Following confirmation of places, you will also receive an invoice from Northumberland County Scouts for the number of places you have booked @£79 per Scout and any leader fees if we exceed the free places – so please ensure you collect the money in from your Scouts.
Finally, if any of your Scouts are facing financial hardship which is preventing them from attending please get in touch. I can’t make any promises – but I’d like to be able to help.
